The Reach Support Program is a Ministry of Health funded program offered by BGC Kawarthas. Reach is designed to support children and youth develop coping skills and social-emotional learning. Reach also provides non-academic support to students who are on an alternative learning plan, serving a suspension, expulsion or needs help engaging with school.

Social-Emotional Learning Group & Individual Formats: Ages 7-18; Duration 8+ weeks

This stream engages children and youth weekly to support with development of social-emotional learning, including selfregulation, social awareness, executive functioning, coping and decisionmaking. This program is designed to be a preventative service. The intention is not therapy, but rather an early intervention that uses experiential learning.

Student Engagement: Ages 12-18; Duration variable

This program is for students struggling with school engagement or who are on an alternative learning plan. The Student Engagement stream works with students on goal setting and mindfulness to better the wellness of students in life domains that affect their ability to be successful in a school setting.
